Most effects can be achieved with clay.
It is a very versatile material but will however always need moulding and reproducing which usually doubles the time frame involved.
The design of most of the clay work usually starts with a visual or reference. This is translated into a scale model or maquette which is then enlarged to produce the full size sculpture.
